Having originally trained as a technical illustrator, Ian joined Conservation Training Wales in 1991 to study wildlife art and conservation. A 4-year period working as a contract warden followed on reserves on the East Coast and as RSPB Wildlife Information Warden Snowdonia. During this period he continued to observe, sketch and paint birdlife in it's habitats and concentrated these efforts from 1996. Ian is a member of The Wildlife Art Society International (TWASI).
